VOLUNTEER - DISASTER RECOVERY LEGAL SERVICES
Legal Aid Society of Hawaiʻi coordinates and collaborates on pro bono disaster recovery legal services, which is part of the State’s emergency recovery efforts. We are accepting offers to help, and will respond as the situation unfolds.
Legal Aid's efforts include training for volunteer attorneys, coordinating legal clinics and workshops, collaborating on legal hotlines with the Hawaii State Bar Association, and staffing disaster assistance response centers in coordination with the local bar association. Substantive areas of need can include housing and consumer matters, FEMA claims and appeals, document replacement, income protection, and others both short and long-term.
