- In consultation with Managing Attorney, identify possible additional outreach locations and partners.
- Provide outreach and legal services in the community as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience required;
- Experience in case/client management strongly preferred;
- Familiarity with local community needs strongly preferred;
- Paralegal experience preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse low-income and disadvantaged populations strongly preferred;
- Able to work under pressure in an empathetic and professional manner;
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks with attention to detail;
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain good working relationships with fellow team members who are located off-island;
- Humility in working with colleagues and clients across the spectrum of diversity, including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, immigrant status, religious identity, physical and mental disabilities, and limited English proficiency, is a must.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and strong computer skills required;
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to various parts of Lanai.

- Able to work collaboratively and maintain good working relationships in small working group.
- Culturally sensitive and able to work well with diverse, low-income populations, and familiarity with local community needs strongly preferred.
- Demonstrable commitment to social justice or experience working with disadvantaged and/or low-income population, or issues affecting low-income populations preferred.
- Able to perform multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Sensitivity to resource limitations.
- Able to work under pressure in an empathetic and professional manner.
