Board Vacancies on the Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i Board of Directors
The Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i is seeking applicants for two director vacancies on its Board of Directors for a 3-year term, beginning July 1, 2023.
The Board of Directors governs the Legal Aid Society of Hawai‘i whose primary purpose is to provide civil legal services throughout the State of Hawai‘i to those segments of our population who are least able to afford them through high quality legal advocacy, outreach and education, in the pursuit of fairness and justice.

qualifications
One member may be a non-attorney and the preference is for a professional with significant accounting or finance experience. One member must be an attorney with an active license
in good standing in the state of Hawaii. Attorney applicants with employment law and/or human resources are strongly preferred. Applicants should: be willing and able to devote time to perform necessary duties; attend board and committee meetings; be conscientious, studious, thorough, and diligent in learning methods and problems of the organization; and be supportive of delivery of quality legal services to the poor.
