Donating to the Legal Aid Society of Hawai`i
The Legal Aid Society of Hawai`i is deeply grateful to all of our contributors for the continued financial support of our agency. It is only because of your continued commitment to the work of this agency that we are able to maintain our vision of “Building a Just Society.”
Legal Aid offers tax-deductible options for individuals who want to further the work of Legal Aid and assist those in need. Your donations will contribute directly toward our efforts to meet the legal needs of low and middle-income families and individuals in our community. Through your generosity, we are able to:
Prevent families from becoming homeless because of a wrongful eviction
Help abuse victims obtain child custody and support orders
Obtain benefits like Social Security and Food Stamps for severely disabled persons
Stop creditors and companies from violating consumer protection laws
Assist individuals in obtaining tax benefits – like the earned income tax credit – to which they are entitled
Give seniors and their families peace of mind by helping them prepare Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives for peace of mind
Represent children in abuse and neglect cases
On behalf of our clients, staff, and board of directors, mahalo nui loa for your support.
Options for donating include:
Direct cash donations
Endowments
Tangible personal property donations
Life insurance donations
Charitable remainder trusts
