Board of Directors
The Legal Aid Society of Hawai`i is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of 25 committed members. 16 members are attorneys appointed by the Hawai`i State Bar Association and who represent various county bar groups reprsentative of the geographical area they serve. Eight members are representatives of community organiations who, at the time of the selection, are eligible to receive legal services as clients of Legal Aid. Finally, there is one Legal Aid presidential appointment. This composition allows it to fairly represent the interests of those persons eligible to receive the services of Legal Aid.
