The Legal Aid Society of Hawai`i’s Public Benefits Unit assists low-income individuals with issues in the area of public benefits law, including: Applications & Appeals for Financial Assistance, Food Stamps, and Medical Benefits from the Department of Human Services, as well as federal Supplemental Social Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and Social Security Retirement benefits.
