1. Call our office during Business Hours or call the Intake Hotline. Please
DO NOT walk-in for assistance.
2. Be prepared to provide information about your legal problem, income, assets, and number of people in your household.

The purpose of the intake Hotline is to provide easy access to services at the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii. Primarily, our clients can apply for services through our toll-fee state-wide phone service, which operates during the following times:
MONDAY - FRIDAY
9:00am to 11:30am in the morning, and
1:00pm to 3:30pm in the afternoon

HISTORY
The Lana`i Legal Aid office was founded in the early 1970's after Lana`i
community leaders campaigned for an on-island office. Since then it has
been staffed by a half-time paralegal, except for a two-year period from
1989-1991 when funding cuts forced Legal Aid to cover the island with
a circuit-riding attorney. Legal Aid staffs the only law office on the
island of Lana`i.
